ABB Robotics & Photoneo Team Up to Simplify Complex Automation
ABB Robotics and Photoneo have joined forces to simplify the deployment of complex robotic applications. The collaboration aims to accelerate Industry 4.0 initiatives by making advanced automation more accessible to manufacturers of all sizes.
Photoneo's 3D vision solutions, including Locator Studio and Bin Picking Studio, are now integrated into ABB Robotics' One platform. This integration reduces complexity and enables more sophisticated automation. Photoneo has also joined the ABB Robotics Ecosystem to expand the use of vision-guided robotics in manufacturing.
Photoneo's platforms provide robots with precise object recognition and manipulation capabilities, even in demanding industrial environments. ABB's OmniCore technologies are used to manage these applications efficiently, with faster setup, easier programming, and intuitive workflow management.
While there is no publicly known announcement of a joint venture between Photoneo and ABB Robotics as of October 2025, both companies have been cooperating in the area of 3D vision for robotic applications for several years. This collaboration is expected to continue, with the integration of Photoneo's solutions into ABB's unified automation environment simplifying the adoption of complex robotic applications.
