Metaforms Raises $9 Million in Series A Funding to Revolutionize Market Research

Metaforms, a Bengaluru-based B2B AI startup, has secured $9 million in a Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund.

Founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, Metaforms aims to make high-quality research more accessible to more companies by automating grunt work. The startup builds AI agents that automate operational workflows for market research firms, positioning its agents as assistants that augment researchers' productivity.

The all-time raise for Metaforms now stands at about $10 million. Akshat Tyagi, co-founder and CEO of Metaforms, states that the goal of the startup is to help research teams spend less time on firefighting and more time on meaningful work.

Metaforms' primary clients are based in North America and Europe. The startup is scaling rapidly by enabling large research agencies globally to automate workflows such as survey programming and data processing through their suite of AI agents. According to Shailendra Singh, MD of Peak XV, Metaforms is reimagining what a market research agency could look like in an AI-first world.

Manav Garg, Co-founder and managing partner at Together Fund, describes Metaforms as a breakout example of the India-to-global play in AI. The raised capital will be used to grow the team, expand into new workflows like report generation and voice-based research, and deepen integrations with tools like Decipher, SPSS, and Confirmit.

The funding will also support the expansion of Metaforms' engineering and AI research team in India and facilitate the opening of a new office in New York. Shailendra Singh expresses his excitement about partnering with Metaforms and reimagining the future of market research.

Metaforms has signed on clients including Dynata, Savanta, and STRAT7. However, there are no search results providing information about Metaforms' customers who joined since the start of their commercial activity six months ago. Metaforms' platform now processes more than 1,000 surveys a month.

According to Manav Garg, Metaforms is not just automating tasks, but rebuilding research infrastructure for the modern era. He states that Metaforms has shown what's possible when deep customer empathy meets technical ambition.

In conclusion, Metaforms' Series A funding round marks a significant step forward in the startup's mission to revolutionize market research by automating operational workflows and making high-quality research more accessible to more companies. With the support of their new investors, Metaforms is poised to continue growing and expanding their offerings in the coming years.
