In the retail landscape, a new AI assistant named "Daily Hero" is making waves at Megaphone's stores. Despite limited information available about its specific use in Megaphone's retail network, it's clear that this virtual personal colleague is making a significant impact.

Daily Hero serves as a valuable tool for sales managers, acting as a co-pilot for work advice and a friendly companion for casual conversation. For managers working alone, Daily Hero offers invaluable support, helping them navigate sales management effectively.

The implementation of Daily Hero has simplified and improved work in Megaphone's stores, with over three thousand employees already benefiting from its services. The AI assistant lives in the employee's phone and is integrated with the company's operational systems, allowing it to see real-time KPIs.

Daily Hero is designed to address challenges in retail and sales, potentially using AI to streamline processes, enhance customer experience, and support employee productivity. It offers personalized training and support, automates routine tasks, and provides employees with real-time data insights.

In the coming months, Daily Hero will offer a dialog trainer for employees to practice specific skills and sales scenarios for new products. Managers can also receive reports on employee engagement, task completion, and training progress. The AI assistant will provide recommendations and feedback, with the goal of not only improving KPIs but also teaching managers to find the best solution for the client.

The new expanded version of Daily Hero conducts a "five-minute" session every shift, summarising the previous workday, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, and setting personal tasks for the current day. This daily briefing helps managers stay on top of their game and maintain high performance levels.

The majority of Megaphone's retail staff are young people aged 18 to 24, who are more accustomed to learning in a digital environment and communicating via messengers. Daily Hero caters to this demographic, providing a familiar and engaging platform for learning and communication.

Roman Ermolenko, Director of Corporate Development and Human Resources at Megafon, comments that the AI service combines digital learning and communication with team values. The AI service is based on large language models (LLM) and comprises three specialized agents: one for employee skill development, another for generating client work advice, and a third for motivational communication.

Over time, Daily Hero has evolved from a simple daily sales plan summary to a friendly colleague that helps managers become the hero of their shift. It provides tips and makes predictions based on business data, aiming to help employees, increase revenue, and improve customer service.

The initial version of Daily Hero was launched in December 2021 for a focus group of 50 people. Since then, it has been refined and expanded to serve a broader audience, demonstrating Megaphone's commitment to leveraging technology to enhance retail operations and employee experience.
