Amazon Revamps Cloud Gaming Service Luna with New Subscription Tier and Social Gaming

Amazon is revamping its cloud gaming service, Amazon Luna, with a planned relaunch later this year. The update includes a new subscription tier, Luna Premium, offering additional high-profile games. The service, integrated with Amazon Prime and AWS, will remain free for Prime members with a curated library of over 50 games.

Luna's relaunch brings a new social gaming section, GameNight. This feature allows family-friendly games, such as Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg and popular board/card games like Exploding Kittens and Clue, to be played using just a smartphone per person, no console required.

The Luna Premium subscription, available for purchase, will offer big-name titles such as EA Sports FC 25, Team Sonic Racing, and Batman: Arkham Knight. While the exact availability date of Luna Premium is not specified, it will be part of the Amazon Luna service, which is already publicly available in the US with free and paid game options for Prime members. Luna games can be played on devices like Fire TV Stick, compatible Smart TVs, or tablets.

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale, starting on 7 October 2025, will offer bargains on devices supporting Luna, including Fire TV Stick models. With the relaunch, Luna aims to enhance its gaming experience, providing more options for Prime members and subscribers of Luna Premium.
