The technology giant, Xiaomi, has recently launched the Redmi 15 5G in India, marking 15 years of global innovation and 11 years of operations in the country.
The Redmi 15 5G boasts a 6.9-inch FHD+ Adaptive Sync display with an impressive refresh rate of up to 144Hz, ensuring smooth visuals and a responsive user experience. This display also comes with TÜV Rheinland triple certification for eye comfort.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, a 6nm, octa-core Kryo CPU that can clock up to 2.3GHz, paired with Adreno GPU. The Redmi 15 5G is available in three variants: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB, with the option to expand storage via microSD up to 2TB.
In terms of photography, the Redmi 15 5G sports a 50MP AI dual camera setup at the rear and an 8MP front camera. The device offers AI features such as AI Erase, AI Sky, AI Beauty, and classic film filters, ensuring high-quality images.
One of the standout features of the Redmi 15 5G is its massive 7000mAh battery, which incorporates Si-C technology. This battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its capacity even after 1600 charging cycles, ensuring reliable performance for more than four years. Xiaomi claims that the Redmi 15 5G can provide up to 55 hours of call time or 13.5 hours of standby, even when the battery is at the final one percent.
The Redmi 15 5G also supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their device when needed. The device is equipped with Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for responsive touchscreen input even when wet or oily.
The Redmi 15 5G features a Royale Chrome Design and quad-curved edges for an elegant look. It also has an aerospace-grade metal camera deco. The device weighs about 217g and measures 169.48 x 80.45 x 8.40 mm.
The Redmi 15 5G is positioned as an affordable device with flagship-inspired design, targeted at users looking for strong battery life, smooth display performance, and modest but capable camera and processing power under ₹15,000 in India. The prices for the Redmi 15 5G variants are ₹14,999, ₹15,999, and ₹16,999 respectively.
The Redmi 15 5G is available in three vibrant colors: Ripple Green, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black. Other notable features include Dolby-certified loudspeakers delivering 200 percent super volume, and various durability tests passed by Xiaomi’s internal labs. The Redmi 15 5G offers features like Circle to Search, AI Erase, AI Sky, and Gemini Live, enhancing the user experience.
