Athletic competitions featuring football, sprinting, and fighting: debut of the first humanoid robot games in China
The World Humanoid Robot Games, a groundbreaking event in the realm of competitive robotics, took place in Beijing from August 15 to 17, 2025, at the National Speed Skating Oval, the same venue used for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
This inaugural event brought together more than 500 humanoid robots from 280 teams representing over 16 countries. The games are set to continue until August 16, 2027, providing a platform for future advancements in this exciting field.
