Banyan Ventures collaborates with Cineverse to introduce MicroCo venture
In an exciting development in the world of entertainment, a new joint venture named MicroCo has been announced by Cineverse and Lloyd Braun's Banyan Ventures. This 50/50 partnership marks the creation of the first U.S.-based AI-native platform and studio specifically designed to produce and deliver high-quality serialized microseries.

MicroCo's AI-powered platform, leveraging Cineverse's proprietary technology called Matchpoint™, will produce low-cost, high-quality microseries episodes, typically 1-3 minutes long. The content will span various genres, including romance and horror, and will feature both live action and animated content.
The venture will also benefit from Cineverse's extensive reach, with 150 million users of its streaming services. Chris McGurk, Cineverse's chairman and CEO, stated that the new venture will combine a new style of storytelling, state-of-the-art technology, and an elite leadership team to create a category-defining studio and platform.
MicroCo's primary goal is to foster a creator-friendly ecosystem, blending advanced AI technology with human creativity to produce engaging content and build passionate fan communities. The consumer-facing platform name will be announced at a later date.
