The BMW Group has announced the release of the new BMW iX3, an electric SUV that is now available for configuration in its domestic market, Germany, with a base price of €68,900.

The standard wheel design for the base BMW iX3, codenamed 1045, is a 20-inch set. The seats are upholstered in Econeer, a textile made from recycled PET yarn. Other standard features include Comfort Access, the Extended Exterior Mirror Package, wireless smartphone charging, an alarm system, Digital Key Plus, and a host of safety features such as lane change warning, road priority warning, Safe Exit, and Assisted View.

Heated and power-adjustable front seats are standard, and the vehicle also comes equipped with two-zone automatic climate control and an electric tailgate. The initial offering of the base BMW iX3 is as the 50 xDrive, and it will be available in the colour Alpine White.

For those seeking a more luxurious experience, real leather is available as an Individual option, but it can cost up to €3,090.

Deliveries to European customers will begin next spring, while U.S. buyers will have to wait until summer.

In a move towards lower-emission vehicles, BMW Group is developing a lower-priced BMW iX3 model, expected to be offered in Germany for around 60,000 euros. This model will start production in the new BMW Group plant in Debrecen, Hungary, from autumn 2025, with a market launch in Europe in spring 2026.

Meanwhile, in 2026, the BMW i3 sedan is expected to launch, offering a lower price compared to the equivalent BMW iX3. However, no information about the standard wheel design, seat materials, or other features for the lower-tier BMW iX3 or BMW i3 sedan was provided.

Buyers of the base BMW iX3 receive wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard features. The configurator for the BMW iX3 can be accessed at the provided link.
