Canadian streaming services CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV now available on Rogers Xfinity
CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV Now Available on Rogers Xfinity in Canada
CBC/Radio-Canada's streaming services, CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV, have officially partnered with Rogers Xfinity to serve audiences in Canada with more news and entertainment content, however and wherever they want it.
The partnership, announced in October 2022, brings together two of Canada's leading streaming platforms. CBC Gem offers more than 6,500 hours of live and on-demand programming for free, including English-language Canadian series, international content, documentaries, kids and tweens content, and Canadian feature films. ICI TOU.TV, on the other hand, offers original series, popular dramas, Canadian and international films, news, live sports, youth programming, and on-demand programs in French.
For CBC Gem Premium subscribers, the partnership offers ad-free on-demand streaming and access to CBC News Network. ICI TOU.TV EXTRA subscribers, meanwhile, have ad-free access to exclusive premieres, original content, full seasons of series, Véro.tv section, and partner content from various channels. ICI TOU.TV EXTRA offers more than 12,000 hours of programming, including nearly 2,000 hours of youth content.
Dany Meloul, Executive Vice-President of Radio-Canada, stated that bringing ICI TOU.TV to Rogers Xfinity opens new opportunities for Francophones in Canada to access a diverse range of French-language content from Radio-Canada and its partners. Barbara Williams, Executive Vice-President of CBC, commented that the new partnership with Rogers invites millions of viewers across Canada to discover CBC's award-winning programming.
The partnership aligns with Radio-Canada's mandate to promote French language and culture, and to provide Canadians with a genuine alternative in their own language. It also aligns with CBC's commitment to delivering high-quality, Canadian-made content to audiences across the country.
One of the highlights of the partnership is the fact that CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV are the Canadian streaming home for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. This means that viewers can expect to see all the action from the games, live and on-demand, on these platforms.
With the partnership between CBC/Radio-Canada and Rogers Xfinity, Canadians now have even more options when it comes to streaming their favourite news, entertainment, and sports content. Whether you prefer English or French, CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV have something for everyone.
