Circontrol's DLM Now Manages Fast & Ultrafast EV Charging Stations
Circontrol has updated its Dynamic Load Management (DLM) system to accommodate fast and ultrafast charging stations, including DC chargers and photovoltaic energy. This upgrade aims to optimise power usage and reduce costs, as demonstrated in projects across Europe.
The updated DLM balances power available for EV charging according to needs, avoiding the need for expensive infrastructure expansion. It prioritises energy from solar panels, reducing costs and environmental impact. The system combines solar and grid energy to support increased charging demands.
In a challenging energy supply environment on Réunion island, a project uses DLM with DC chargers and PV panels for fast charging. Meanwhile, the Eurotrak service station in Spain employs DLM to manage power for fast charging and other services without compromising other installations.
Circontrol's updated DLM now manages fast and ultrafast charging stations dynamically, integrating DC chargers and photovoltaic energy. This upgrade allows for efficient power management, cost reduction, and environmental benefits, as seen in successful projects across Europe.
