Collaboration between Avalanche and Helix with Faculty Group for developing blockchain solutions tailored to various industries
In a significant move towards the development of scalable and customizable blockchain networks, a new initiative called Fusion has been launched. Helix, Avalanche, and Faculty Group have collaborated to bring this project to life.
Fusion, designed to accelerate the development of domain-specific blockchain economies, has received substantial funding of $100 million. This funding will be allocated across various Avalanche programs.
The framework of Fusion is built upon Avalanche's robust technological foundation. It utilizes the C-Chain for smart contracts and Interchain Messaging for secure data exchange, making it an ideal foundation for scalable networks.
Fusion consists of a two-tiered architecture: Composers and Modules. Each Composer is tailored to specific verticals, such as AI, decentralized scientific research, and DePIN. Developers can customize their ecosystems by mixing and matching Modules within their chosen Composer.
Modules are plug-and-play services that offer a wide range of functionalities, including biometric identity verification, data oracles, stablecoins, and computing infrastructure. New Modules will be introduced in partnership with firms like QuickNode and Space and Time.
Each Composer comes with its own SDKs and APIs, simplifying development and deployment. This modular, performance-oriented framework is aimed at sectors like healthcare, artificial intelligence, and decentralized infrastructure.
The Initiative Fusion is also supported financially by companies and organizations linked to the energy sector and adjacent sectors, aiming to accelerate innovative solutions for energy infrastructure development.
Among the early adopters building within the Fusion framework are Life Network, Kite AI, and Tayga. Life Network focuses on AI-based healthcare solutions for disease prevention, Kite AI on a decentralized marketplace for AI models, and Tayga on decentralized infrastructure services.
Fusion offers a unique approach to blockchain development, with a focus on delivering measurable real-world outcomes. The funding aims to support the launch of high-impact Composers, the creation of foundational Modules, and incentivize developers.
Helix, a fractional founding partner for projects entering the Web3 space, acts as a bridge between top-tier venture funds and blockchain initiatives. They contribute to Fusion with a thesis-driven advisory and incubation approach.
AvaCloud, Avalanche's enterprise-grade blockchain creation platform, provides infrastructure support for Fusion. With its fast and interoperable Layer-1 capabilities, Avalanche brings significant value to the Fusion initiative.
Looking ahead, future Composers are expected to target real-world assets, digital identity, and decentralized finance, further expanding the potential of this innovative framework. The launch of Fusion marks an exciting step forward in the development of domain-specific blockchain economies.
