Cryptocurrency wallet platform, Coinbase, extends support to Binance Smart Chain and Avalanche networks.
Coinbase Wallet, a popular cryptocurrency wallet, has announced the launch of several new features aimed at enhancing its users' trading experience. The updates include support for token swaps on Avalanche, BNB Chain, and the upcoming integration of the Base network and Solana.
Until now, Coinbase wallet users could only swap tokens on Polygon and Ethereum. However, with the recent addition of a new browser extension and the development of an in-app DEX feature, users can now access a greater variety of tokens more easily.
To swap tokens on Avalanche, users will need AVAX, the native tokens of the Avalanche network, to cover network fees. Similarly, when using the new features for network bridging, users will need the native tokens of the network they wish to swap on.
The new browser extension, designed for more secure connection to dapps and DeFi on desktop, joins the mobile app's 'trade' button and the browser extension's 'swap' icon as tools for users to exchange tokens.
In addition to these improvements, Coinbase Wallet is planning to integrate more networks in the upcoming months, further expanding its reach and the range of tokens available for swapping. The wallet's in-app DEX feature will provide easy access to these new networks.
Moreover, Coinbase Wallet plans to add support for network bridging, a feature that will allow users to seamlessly move tokens across multiple networks. This will enable users to take advantage of opportunities across different blockchain ecosystems.
Finally, Coinbase Wallet has also announced plans to add NFT viewing to its browser extension, further enhancing its functionality and user experience.
