Daimler Truck Expands Electric Fleet with New eActros 400 & 600 Models
Daimler Truck is expanding its electric truck range with the new eActros 400 and eActros 600 models. These vehicles aim to make electric mobility more accessible and efficient.
The eActros 400, targeting a lower price threshold, offers a maximum trailer load of 9.5 tons and a range of up to 480 kilometers. It comes with two battery pack options, either as a tractor unit or chassis cab. The eActros 600, with a range of up to 560 kilometers, features three battery packs and can be charged at up to 400 kW via CCS2, with a megawatt charging option planned later.
Both models feature an electric axle with two electric motors and a four-speed transmission, generating a continuous power output of 400 kW and a peak power output of 600 kW. They also come with improved assistance systems, including Active Brake Assist 6, Active Sideguard Assist 2, and Active Drive Assist 3 for partially automated driving. Customers can choose from two cab options, the L-cab and the ProCabin, with various wheelbase variants and axle formulas for chassis cabs, offering over 40 combination options.
The new electronics platform offers 20 times more data processing power, ensuring compliance with future GSR regulations from February 2026. The first-generation eActros 300/400 models will be phased out by the end of 2025.
The eActros 400 and 600 models will be available for order in EU30 markets and selected non-EU markets starting October 2025, with production commencing later that year. Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed specific pricing, but the eActros 400 offers a lower entry price due to its two-battery configuration. These new models promise to enhance electric mobility in the trucking industry.
