DJI Launches Mic 3: Premium Wireless Microphone for Video Creators
DJI, renowned for its drones, has launched the DJI Mic 3, a wireless microphone system priced at $329. This new system offers competitive features despite its higher price compared to lower-end alternatives.
The DJI Mic 3 connects seamlessly with various devices, including smartphones, cameras, and DJI's action cameras. Tests with a Sony ZV-E1 camera, Insta360 Go Ultra camera, DJI Osmo Nano action camera, and Android phones showed immediate and reliable connections, with a range of nearly 400 meters (1,200 feet).
The system introduces new features like timecode support and lossless recording, all packed in a smaller and lighter form factor, with each microphone weighing just 16g. It also offers smart features such as voice filters and adaptive gain control to enhance audio quality. The charging case houses all accessories and tops up the batteries of the microphones and receiver.
DJI has improved the Mic 3's battery life, noise canceling, storage, and transmission range compared to its predecessor. It supports group recording with up to eight microphones and four receivers, featuring automatic time coding for easy syncing.
The DJI Mic 3 is a versatile and feature-rich wireless microphone system, widely used by YouTubers and TikTokers. Despite its higher price, it offers seamless connections, enhanced audio quality, and improved battery life, making it a popular choice among video creators.
