Electric vehicle manufacturing milestone achieved by Ola in four years, surpassing the 1 millionth unit.
In a significant move, Ola Electric, the second-largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has expanded its lineup in 2025 with the introduction of the Roadster electric motorcycle range. The company, which started operations in 2021 with the S1 electric scooter range, is making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) industry.
The Roadster electric motorcycle range kicks off with the Roadster X+, a special edition model finished in a midnight blue paint scheme with sporty red accents on the dual-tone seat, rims, and battery pack. The Roadster X+ comes in two variants: the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh, priced at ₹1.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Roadster X, priced at ₹74,999. Deliveries for the Roadster X+ are slated to begin soon on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, with the Roadster X to follow shortly.
In addition to the Roadster X+, Ola Electric is also introducing the all-new S1 Pro Sport, which comes equipped with the new 4680 Bharat Cell. The S1 Pro Sport will be offered in the 4 kWh and 5.2 kWh battery pack options. The base model of the S1 Pro Sport is priced at ₹1.50 Lakhs, while the S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh is priced at ₹1.70 lakh. Deliveries for the S1 Pro Sport are scheduled to begin in January next year, with the S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh deliveries starting soon on the auspicious occasion of Navratri.
Ola Electric's spokesperson stated that the company's one million sales mark is a testament to their mission of becoming India's EV two-wheeler leader and ending the ICE age, aiming to make India a global EV hub. The Ola Electric Roadster, priced at ₹1.05 Lakhs, has a top speed of 194 kmph, making it a formidable competitor in the electric motorcycle market. The Ola Electric S1 Pro Sport, on the other hand, boasts a top speed of 141 kmph and is priced at ₹1.50 Lakhs.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Suzuki e Access is expected to be priced between ₹ 1.20 - 1.40 Lakhs and has a top speed of 71 kmph. The Numeros Diplos Max Plus, another electric two-wheeler, is priced at ₹ 1.21 Lakhs and has a top speed of 70 kmph.
