TomskRTS, a local utility company, is implementing an automatic electronic notification system for management organizations regarding adjustments to repair schedules and hot water connection deadlines, the company's press representative told RIA Tomsk on Monday.
The representative explained that, in accordance with the Rules for Providing Communal Services, notifications to consumers during planned repair work on centralized heating networks are the responsibility of the service provider, which is the managing organization.
To provide more timely updates to managing companies, TomskRTS is introducing an automated email notification system. If repair dates for a section of the heating network are altered, the information will be entered into a common analytical system used by the company. The program will then automatically generate an email, detailing the new deadlines and a list of affected objects, and send it to the email addresses of the managing organizations.
According to the representative, receiving such notification would allow the service company to promptly inform residents about changes to hot water availability, for instance, through apartment chat groups. Additionally, the company has an exclusive phone number in operation since last year for representatives of managing organizations and housing cooperatives to facilitate more timely communication.
While the absence of hot water is often due to repairs on heating networks, the representative emphasized that it can also be linked to work carried out by managing organizations on in-house heating systems, or by city administration contractors on networks not leased to the company. The exact reason for the absence of hot water in a specific home is known only by the organization responsible for its servicing. Thus, residents should initially seek information from that organization, the representative advised.
