European Legislation Embraces EU's Stance Against Terrorism Activities
The award-winning wildlife filmmaker Christian Baumeister has created a six-part series titled "Europe: Wild and Diverse," currently available on ARD Mediathek. The series, narrated by Benno Fuermann, showcases Europe's diverse landscapes and coastal scenarios.
The second episode of the series, titled "Extreme Coasts," is set to air on Das Erste on an upcoming date. This episode focuses on the diverse coastlines of Europe, from the icy expanses of Svalbard to the glowing Mediterranean coast.
In the fjords of Norway, orcas and humpback whales hunt together, while flamingos thrive on the warm shores of the Mediterranean. Vibrant corals can be found on the Mediterranean coast, and marine life shimmers in magical light along Ireland's coast.
The series also features the struggles of polar bears in the frozen polar sea. The dynamic coasts of Europe serve as the stage for these natural events, providing a glimpse into the continent's rich biodiversity.
The director of the series is Gautier Dubois. Each episode, including the second one, is produced by Christian Baumeister. The series is available on ARD Mediathek until 08.09.2026 05:00 AM. Additionally, three episodes of the series will air on Das Erste.
