Fold Launches Bitcoin Gift Card, Targeting US Retail Expansion
Fold, a trailblazing Bitcoin financial services company, has introduced the Bitcoin Gift Card. Currently available on the Fold website, it will soon be rolled out to major US retailers such as Walmart, Target, CVS, and 7-Eleven. Fold's goal is to make Bitcoin accessible via gift cards, the most popular gift in America.
Fold anticipates that Bitcoin could become the top gift in America by the end of 2025, thanks to the Bitcoin Gift Card. The card targets millions of Americans interested in Bitcoin but hesitant to use apps or exchanges. Consumers can buy and gift bitcoin using the card, redeemable via the Fold app.
The Bitcoin Gift Card is the first step in integrating Bitcoin into the $300 billion U.S. retail gift card market. Fold plans to expand to grocery chains and gas stations throughout 2025, making it available at over 150,000 points of sale nationwide through its partnership with Totus.
Fold, having empowered over 600,000 users with Bitcoin-based financial tools and holding over 1,485 Bitcoin in its treasury, is at the forefront of making Bitcoin more accessible. With the Bitcoin Gift Card, Fold is poised to transform how Americans gift and use Bitcoin.
