In a significant move for the UK's high-precision manufacturing sector, TextureJet, a Nottingham University spinout specialising in advanced surface processing technology, has secured a six-figure investment package. This investment, a combination of public and private funds, includes reinvestment from Foresight Group and new debt funding from Maven Capital Partners.

The investment highlights the strength and collaborative ambition of the Midlands innovation network, involving resources from the UK Government, British Business Bank, and all ten Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) under the Midlands Engine banner. This investment is part of Brookhouse Aerospace's wider growth and investment strategy that includes further investment in machining capabilities over the coming months. Brookhouse Aerospace has invested over £500,000 in additional machinery to expand its engineering capabilities.

TextureJet's CEO and founder, Jonathon Mitchell-Smith, expressed pride in the diverse group of investors who share the company's vision. The company's revolutionary approach to edge shaping, surface preparation, and part-marking offers manufacturers a cleaner, more efficient, and highly controllable alternative to traditional methods.

Dassault Systèmes announced that the National Composites Centre (NCC) has adopted the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud and extended its use to other innovation centres within the UK High Value Manufacturing Catapult network. This adoption further solidifies TextureJet's position in the industry, as a company that leverages cutting-edge technology to drive innovation.

The investment in TextureJet at EMO Hannover in September 2025 was made by Heraeus. At the same event, TextureJet will showcase its award-winning technology, located in hall 11, stand H88. Hewland Engineering, another industry leader, has also completed a multi-million pound investment in an advanced technical centre in Southam, Warwickshire.

TextureJet's headquarters are located at Unit 1, Kemmel Road, NG6 9FH, United Kingdom. The company can be reached at 44 (0)7779 279806. With the new funding, TextureJet plans to expand its commercial offering and production capability to meet market demand in the high-precision manufacturing sector.

In other news, Lockheed Martin will upgrade the Republic of Korea Air Force's F-16 Block 52 flight simulators to mirror the advanced capabilities of its modernised F-16 Viper (F-16V) aircraft. Meanwhile, DK Holdings hosted a business roundtable organised by Katie Lam, Member of Parliament for the Weald of Kent, and attended by the Rt Hon Sir Mel Stride MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. These events underscore the ongoing commitment to innovation and growth within the UK's manufacturing industry.
