Genelec equips Eidra's fashionable Stockholm headquarters with secretive audio systems.

Genelec Smart IP loudspeakers have been incorporated at Eidra's sleek, modern headquarters in Stockholm, home to a renowned consultancy collective comprising 17 esteemed companies and over 1,200 experts in the Swedish capital.

Fueled by significant growth, Eidra sought a new headquarters that mirrored its identity. Ximple AB, specialists in corporate technology solutions, were commissioned to design and implement the building's audiovisual infrastructure, including a Genelec Smart IP loudspeaker solution for the communal and social zones.

In total, 51 Genelec 4430 Smart IP loudspeakers were installed across 15 zones. Ximple's team utilized Genelec's Smart IP Manager software to configure the system over the Dante network, offering control of nearly any number of rooms, zones, loudspeakers, and audio channels. This software enables device discovery, room equalization, system organization, and status monitoring.

Ximple opted for the 4430 model due to its ability to deliver clear audio at both moderate and high sound pressure levels, ensuring both daily use and larger events could be catered for. The speakers were discreet enough to blend harmoniously with Eidra's minimalist aesthetic, with most units finished in RAL 7047, a refined grey-white shade that complemented the environment.

The challenge for Eidra was finding a product that delivered high-quality audio in various environments, particularly in open areas where acoustics and aesthetics had to collaborate. The solution also needed to accommodate different audio applications across different zones. For instance, the entrance area plays a different genre than the bar, which differs from the espresso bar, training room lounge, or board room lounge.

Andreas Savela, co-founder of Ximple, praised the 4430 model for its versatility. "The Genelec Smart IP series was a natural choice for us, particularly its PoE-powered design. In addition to the long lifespan and high-quality audio, the ability to deliver power, audio, and control through a single network cable simplifies installation significantly."

Using PoE technology and intuitive software tools allowed Ximple to complete the project efficiently, even under a tight timeline involving multiple stakeholders. The system’s modularity and networked control reduce commissioning time and make future scalability possible. Furthermore, the Smart IP system's sustainability benefits include reduced cabling, minimal installation waste, and efficient power usage to align with Eidra's green goals.

At Eidra's headquarters, smart-home devices like the Genelec 4430 Smart IP loudspeakers have been integrated into the audiovisual infrastructure, catering to various events and audio needs in different zones. This technology solution, implemented by Ximple AB, also comprises a collection of gadgets and devices, aiming to fulfill diverse audio applications across various zones, including the entrance area, bar, espresso bar, training room lounge, board room lounge, and more, each playing a different genre.
