Vertiv Unveils Global Availability of Scalable Prefabricated Data Center Solution, Vertiv OneCore
Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, has announced the global availability of VertivTM OneCore, a revolutionary prefabricated data center solution designed to accelerate the deployment of AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and high-density data centers.
According to Viktor Petik, Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Solutions at Vertiv, the solution reduces project complexity by standardizing key components while preserving the flexibility to scale and evolve.
Vertiv OneCore offers a unified, slab-up turn-key approach from design to installation and ready-for-operation. The solution is intended to reduce complexity and enable speed in building data center capacity at scale.
The scalable prefabricated solution integrates Vertiv's proven power, thermal, and IT infrastructure technologies. Vertiv OneCore's design leverages proven, prefabricated building blocks, including VertivTM SmartRun housed within a Vertiv-provided steel shell.
Key features and benefits of Vertiv OneCore include:
- Scalability in Power and Rack Density: Supports power blocks ranging from 5 MW to 50 MW and accommodates 96 to 944 racks, covering deployment needs from edge micro data centers to hyperscale facilities. This flexibility allows infrastructure to grow with evolving AI workloads without requiring complete redesigns.
- Integrated Thermal and Power Systems: Combines Vertiv's Trinergy™ UPS (uninterruptible power supply), liquid cooling, and heat rejection systems in one modular unit. This integration enhances energy efficiency and manages the intense thermal loads generated by AI and HPC workloads at densities of 30-100 kW per rack.
- Rapid, Factory-Assembled Deployment: The prefabricated, modular approach dramatically reduces on-site construction complexity and timelines by up to 50%, accelerating time-to-market and reducing project risks associated with traditional multi-vendor setups.
- Global Operating Temperature Range: Designed to operate effectively across a wide temperature range (-20°C to 55°C), enabling deployment flexibility in diverse geographic and climate conditions.
- Simplified Project Management: Provides a unified, turnkey solution with a single point of contact, facilitating easier design, installation, and operational phases for various deployment models including enterprise, colocation, sovereign, and neocloud data centers.
- Modularity and Customization: Supports modular scaling and customization for different technical requirements, which helps meet specific performance targets and future expansion needs without significant downtime or redesign.
Vertiv OneCore is also designed to simplify logistics, minimise on-site labor and complexity, and support consistent quality, cost, and schedule outcomes. Additionally, VertivTM Unify provides integrated system visibility and centralized management for Vertiv OneCore.
