Google Pixel 10 series pricing leak reveals unexpected cost for a particular model
The tech world is abuzz with excitement as Google prepares to unveil its next flagship smartphone series, the Pixel 10, on August 20. Leaked information has shed light on the expected starting prices and storage configurations for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
According to the latest leaks, the Pixel 10 will be priced at $799 for the 128GB variant, while the Pixel 10 Pro will start at $999 for the same storage capacity. The Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, is rumoured to start at $1,199 for a 256GB model, with no 128GB option available. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to retail for $1,799 for a 256GB variant.
These prices are mostly consistent with the Pixel 9 series, except for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, which now starts at 256GB, effectively increasing the entry cost. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, meanwhile, is rumoured to be priced significantly lower than Samsung's foldables but still at a premium level.
Here's a summary of the expected starting prices and storage configurations for each model:
| Model | Starting Price (US) | Starting Storage | |------------------|---------------------|------------------| | Pixel 10 | $799 | 128GB | | Pixel 10 Pro | $999 | 128GB | | Pixel 10 Pro XL | $1,199 | 256GB | | Pixel 10 Pro Fold| $1,799 | 256GB |
It's worth noting that the Pixel 10 Pro XL's starting price is seen as an "indirect" price increase due to the discontinuation of the 128GB variant.
In addition to the pricing details, rumours suggest that the Pixel 10 Pro XL might no longer offer a 128GB option, but it could be available for the Obsidian version. The Pixel 10 series might also be Qi2 Ready out of the box, making it the first Android devices in the U.S. to do so fully. The devices could natively support WPC's Qi2 wireless charging magnets, potentially eliminating the need for a case with Qi2 magnets for wireless charging, as seen in Samsung's Galaxy S25 phones.
However, it's important to note that the Pixel 10 series' storage configurations are still subject to change, according to recent rumours. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official launch of the Pixel 10 series on August 20, 2025.
