Government entity GovCIO plans to acquire SoldierPoint's digital health division to broaden VA's digital health services.
GovCIO, a leading technology solutions provider to the federal government, has announced its acquisition of SoldierPoint Digital Health from Iron Bow Technologies. Upon closing, SoldierPoint's nearly 300 employees and over $200 million in annual revenue will join GovCIO, marking a significant expansion in the telehealth services offered for veterans.
The acquisition is set to integrate SoldierPoint's established digital health solutions, which serve over 2.7 million enrolled Veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This move will further enable GovCIO to invest in next-generation telehealth innovations aimed at advancing Veteran health outcomes.
As of 2025, GovCIO has about $700 million in annual revenue, positioning it as a substantial player in federal IT services. The addition of SoldierPoint, a specialized digital health provider supporting one of the VA’s most successful telehealth programs, is expected to contribute to additional revenue and growth potential within GovCIO’s overall portfolio.
The acquisition will significantly enhance GovCIO's reach and services in the VA space. SoldierPoint's telehealth platform, active since 2010, is one of the most effective digital health programs serving the VA's large Veteran population. The integration of SoldierPoint's solutions will enable greater support and expansion of telehealth services for Veterans.
Kristin Gill, president of GovCIO's VETS sector, looks forward to working with SoldierPoint's team to offer additional care solutions for veterans. Jim Brabston, CEO of GovCIO, expresses excitement about welcoming SoldierPoint to the company.
The acquisition aligns with GovCIO's mission to transform government IT by advancing digital and virtual care services specifically for veterans. GovCIO plans to leverage its VA experience and emerging AI technologies to enhance the CCIN contract, which enables over 4 million veterans to access telehealth services.
The transaction is pending regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the third quarter. Upon closing, SoldierPoint's work with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) will expand, further improving Veteran healthcare support. Both Brabston and Gill emphasize the opportunity to support veterans and provide top-of-the-line healthcare remotely.
