Hà Nội Art Lovers Invited to Free Modern Art Exhibition This October
Hà Nội art enthusiasts are in for a treat this October as the 'Cuộc Sống Tươi Đẹp' exhibition opens its doors. This landmark event, a cultural gift to the city, offers a free, comprehensive look at the evolution of Việt Nam modern art.
Running from October 1 to 26 at the Hồ Gươm Cultural Information Centre in Hoàn Kiếm Ward, the exhibition is a tribute to the generations of artists who laid the foundation for modern Việt Nam fine arts. It commemorates three major milestones: Hà Nội's Liberation Day, the founding of the Indochina School of Fine Arts, and Cultural Heritage Day.
The exhibition includes works from the Resistance Class (1950-1954) and later cohorts of the Việt Nam School of Fine Arts. Among the featured artists are those whose paintings have commanded millions at international auctions, such as Nguyễn Phan Chánh, Lê Phõ̉, Mai Thứ, and Vũ Cao Đàm. Despite the high-profile artists, the exhibition is open free of charge to the public.
The 'Cuộc Sống Tươi Đẹp' exhibition is a must-visit for art lovers in Hà Nội. It provides a rare opportunity to appreciate the rich history and evolution of Việt Nam modern art, while also celebrating significant historical events. However, please note that children under the age of 10 are not permitted to attend.
