Haggy Completes 7-Day Yacht Journey from Netherlands to Berlin
Heinrich Gerhard Schroeder, known as Haggy, recently completed an impressive 7-day journey transporting a 16-meter luxury yacht, the Prestige 520 S Line, from the Netherlands to just shy of Berlin. The yacht was destined for a waiting customer, with Haggy ensuring a swift and efficient delivery near me.
The yacht's journey began on water, with its drives mounted differently to facilitate immediate departure from the shipyard. Haggy took over the yacht after it was tested and driven for a day. The transport route was via the Rhine, Wesel-Datteln canal, Mittelland canal, North German lowlands, and Elbe-Havel canal. Along the way, Haggy found the canal tour invigorating, with ever-changing light, nature, and encounters with professional shipping. The yacht was able to moor for free at certain cities along the canal for up to 72 hours, aiding in the smooth progress of the journey. Upon arrival, the ship was unpacked, unloaded, checked, and tested by the workshop manager from aqua marin, ensuring it was ready for its new owner.
Despite not all ships being capable of land transport in Germany due to low bridge clearance heights, Haggy successfully navigated the yacht's journey by water. The 7-day trip culminated in the yacht's informed delivery to its awaiting customer, marking a successful conclusion to Haggy's stimulating canal tour.
