Henkel & Baumer HHS Unveil Innovative Hot Melt Adhesives for Packaging
Henkel and Baumer HHS have recently introduced innovative products in the hot melt adhesive market. Henkel's new Technomelt EM 335 RE enables clean label separation on PET bottles, while Baumer HHS presents the Xmelt fusion series for packaging industry applications.
Last year, Power Adhesives made headlines with the launch of the first biodegradable hot melt adhesive for carton, corrugated packaging, and other sectors. Meanwhile, Henkel has now unveiled the Technomelt EM 335 RE, designed specifically for clean label separation on PET bottles.
The Xmelt fusion series from Baumer HHS offers flexible configurations with ports for six or eight application heads, enhancing work safety and minimizing energy dissipation. The range includes a Special Volume model that stores non-conveyable adhesives near the tank. The Xmelt fusion generation can reach a remarkable melt rate of up to 14 kg per hour with an energy input of just 1.6 kW. Additionally, these melters can be optionally equipped with a built-in or external display and software for optimizing energy consumption and adhesive usage tracking.
The compact Basic unit of Xmelt fusion can handle around 90% of all packaging applications and can be combined with an Xfeed system. Both Henkel and Baumer HHS aim to optimize processes by maximizing melt rate and minimizing volume, energy consumption, and maximizing reliability.
The new Technomelt EM 335 RE from Henkel and the Xmelt fusion series from Baumer HHS demonstrate advancements in hot melt adhesive technology. These products offer enhanced performance, flexibility, and sustainability, setting new standards for the packaging industry.
