Hennessey Unveils 2,031bhp F5 Venom Revolution Evo, World's Most Powerful Road Car

Hennessey Performance Engineering has unveiled the F5 Venom Revolution Evo, a road car boasting an astonishing 2,031bhp from its 6.6-litre V8 engine, making it the world's most powerful internal combustion-powered road car. The car's DNA is heavily influenced by the Lotus Exige, with a similar dash shape and windscreen, and carbon seats inspired by Lotus's old Probax chairs.

The F5 Venom Revolution Evo is an upgrade of the F5 Venom, featuring revised aerodynamics, suspension, and an extra 214bhp. The engine is built by Ilmor Engineering in the UK, utilizing Precision 7680 turbochargers, oval billet aluminum pistons, and titanium exhaust valves. The car's carbonfibre chassis and bodywork are supplied by KS Composites, who have experience working on F1 projects and other specialized road cars.

On the road, the F5 Venom Revolution Evo feels light and responsive, with a surprisingly well-mannered seven-speed, single-clutch transmission. Despite its massive power output, the car is designed to be a viable alternative to more blue-blooded hypercars. However, its performance may require specialized fuel (E85) for regular use. The car can accelerate from 0-200mph in just 10.3 seconds and is planned to set a new top speed record of over 300mph.

The F5 Venom Revolution Evo is a limited edition car, with only 99 units planned for production. Hennessey has already delivered 30 units, and the Revolution Evo costs from $2.75 million. The Evo package is also available as a retrofit for existing F5 Venom owners at a cost of $285,000. With a dry weight of 1,360kg, the F5 Venom Revolution Evo achieves a power-to-weight ratio of over 1,500bhp per tonne on E85 fuel. This remarkable car is a testament to Hennessey's engineering prowess and commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance.
