Hundreds of Electric Scooters Towed in Astana for Illegal Parking
Astana's sidewalks and lawns have been cluttered with improperly parked electric scooters, causing pedestrian traffic disruptions. Hundreds have been towed to the capital's impound lot in recent days.
Electric scooters from ride-sharing companies Bird and Scoot have been violating traffic rules, leading to their removal. According to regulations, such vehicles left on sidewalks, lawns, or other unauthorized areas can be towed to a designated municipal lot.
The Department of Police in Astana is actively patrolling to identify and address these violations. The responsibility for such infractions lies with the owners of the electric scooters, namely the ride-sharing companies.
Hundreds of improperly parked electric scooters have been towed to the impound lot. The police are working to ensure traffic rules are followed. The ride-sharing companies are responsible for their vehicles' proper parking.
