Hyundai India Reports Record SUV Sales and Exports in September 2025
Hyundai Motors India has announced impressive sales figures for September 2025. The Hyundai Creta, a popular SUV, sold an unprecedented 18,861 units, marking its highest monthly tally since its launch. This remarkable performance was part of a broader trend, with SUVs contributing a significant 72.4 per cent of Hyundai's domestic sales during the same period.
Hyundai's success can be attributed to its strategic focus on exports. In September 2025, the company exported a record 18,800 units, its highest monthly tally in 33 months. This surge in exports was primarily driven by the 'Make in India, Made for the World' strategy, with India serving as a key export hub. The Hyundai Creta and Venue were at the forefront of this export drive, contributing significantly to the overall sales figures.
The Hyundai Venue also performed exceptionally well in the domestic market, selling 11,484 units in September 2025. This was its best performance in 20 months, further underscoring the popularity of Hyundai's SUV lineup. Looking at the broader picture, Hyundai's cumulative exports for the first half of FY2025-26 reached 99,540 units, marking a 17 per cent rise year-on-year.
