Improving access to housing through integration of Nova Credit's 'Credit Passport' by Entrata.
In a significant move aimed at enhancing housing access for international renters, property management software company Entrata has partnered with Nova Credit to integrate the latter's 'Credit Passport' into its platform. This collaboration will enable property managers and landlords to verify the creditworthiness of renters from other countries, thereby streamlining rental applications and expanding housing opportunities.
Nova Credit's Credit Passport provides a trusted, global credit profile, which Entrata integrates into its rental management platform. This enables informed leasing decisions and increases accessibility for international tenants.
Akaash Gupta, Partnerships Lead at Nova Credit, stated, "Gaps in data access often prevent qualified applicants from securing housing in their new country." He added that the partnership aims to help newcomers to the US secure housing by providing access to their domestic credit history.
Catherine Wong, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer at Entrata, stated that the integration is aimed at making the rental process more accessible and efficient. She further mentioned, "This partnership will further financial inclusion and housing access for newcomers to the US."
The partnership will also see 'ResidentVerify', Entrata's resident screening platform, enhanced with access to credit data from 16 countries and over two billion individuals through Nova Credit's ResidentVerify service.
Nova Credit has also teamed up with Akoya ahead of the US Open Banking regulation and is an Associate Partner of the Open Banking Expo USA 2025, which is taking place on June 26 in New York. The company is working with financial institutions such as HSBC, American Express, RBC, and Scotiabank.
Information about exhibiting, partnering, and registering to attend the Open Banking Expo USA 2025 is available on the event's official website. Nova Credit is proud to partner with Entrata on this new offering to expand the qualified applicant pool for their clients.
By bridging the gap in housing access for international renters, this partnership allows them to leverage their existing credit data from their home countries in the U.S. rental market, reducing barriers created by unfamiliarity or absence of U.S. credit history information.
