Indian Agritech Startup Eeki Secures $7M for Pesticide-Free Farming Revolution
Indian agritech startup Eeki has secured $7 million in funding led by Sixth Sense Ventures, aiming to revolutionize farming and address food security. The company, which grows pesticide-free staple vegetables year-round on barren land, plans to expand its sustainable farming footprint nationwide.
Eeki's innovative approach involves growing crops in its patented Gen 3 Growing Chambers, which utilize aeroponics for consistent, high-yield production. This method uses 90% less water and achieves 10 times the yield compared to traditional farming. The startup's success lies in its patented growing chambers, advanced plant science, and automation technologies.
The funding will support Eeki's expansion and accelerate the rollout of next-generation technologies. Nikhil Vora, Founder and CEO of Sixth Sense Ventures, praised Eeki's breakthrough model and its potential for global scalability. Sixth Sense Ventures' consumer expertise will help Eeki build its positioning as a leader in nutrition and origin. Over the last year, Eeki has raised more than $10 million from various investors, with the latest round led by Sixth Sense Ventures.
Eeki's innovative farming methods tackle multiple variables at once, including weather-proof farming on non-arable lands and viable economics. With the recent funding, the company is poised to expand its scalable, sustainable farming footprint and further its mission to enhance food security.
