In the realm of gaming, the anticipation is growing among fans, as speculation swirls about a potential Halloween 2025 launch window for the highly-acclaimed FPS game, Dusk.

Dusk, a retro-inspired title that harks back to the golden days of 1990s shooters like Doom and Quake, has already made a significant impact on PC gamers. Having entered Early Access in January 2018 and fully launching in December of the same year, Dusk has garnered critical acclaim, scoring an impressive 88 on Metacritic, 89 on OpenCritic, and a 96% positive rating from players on Steam.

The game's success didn't stop at the PC. Dusk later made its way to consoles, launching on Nintendo Switch in 2021 and on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2023. Now, Xbox players are eagerly awaiting their turn, as Dusk is officially coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Ally.

New Blood Interactive, the publisher of Dusk on Xbox, has announced that the Xbox release is coming soon. The collection of games, including Dusk, is shaping up to be a must-buy for fans of the genre or those interested in something new and different.

Dusk was built in the Unity engine with a custom lighting system for an authentic retro look. Console players can look forward to enjoying features like Xbox Play Anywhere support, console keyboard and mouse support, cloud saves, achievements, and more.

The collection of games, including Dusk, will support Xbox Play Anywhere. This means that players can purchase the game once and play it on both Xbox consoles and Windows 10 PCs. Additionally, these games will feature 4K resolution and frame rates from 60 up to 120 FPS on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox Ally.

While some fans have held off playing Dusk while waiting for the Xbox version, the game has already sold over 620,000 copies on Steam alone, surpassing at least $7 million in revenue. The release date for Dusk on Xbox hasn't been set yet, but it's expected to come soon.

Dusk began as a personal passion project for David Szymanski in 2015. Now, it's set to bring the spirit of 1990s shooters to a whole new audience on Xbox consoles. Whether you're a fan of the genre or looking to try something new, Dusk promises to deliver an authentic retro gaming experience. Stay tuned for more updates on the official release date.
