Innovative British startup, Longbow, welcomes former leaders from McLaren, Alpine, and Lotus to its ranks
Longbow Taps Automotive Industry Heavyweights for Advisory Board
Longbow, a British start-up that made waves earlier this year with the unveiling of a £65,000 sub-tonne electric sports car, has strengthened its team with the addition of a new advisory board. The board, which is being hailed as the "holy trinity" by co-founder Daniel Davey, boasts a wealth of experience from some of the biggest names in the automotive industry.
The new advisory board members include Mike Flewitt, the former CEO of McLaren Automotive, Dan Balmer, the former CEO of Lotus Cars Europe, and Michael van der Sande, the former CEO of Alpine and Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations.
Daniel Davey, a former engineer at Tesla and Lucid Motors, co-founded Longbow in 2023. He is also a member of the advisory board.
The new advisory board members bring a wealth of expertise to Longbow as the company aims to bring its electric sports car to market. All three have previously held senior positions in the automotive industry, having worked for companies like McLaren, Alpine, and Lotus.
In March, Longbow announced its first project, an open-roof Speedster, and a Roadster coupé as part of the same venture. The company is expected to provide further details about its plans in the coming months.
With the addition of the new advisory board, Longbow is well-positioned to navigate the complex world of electric vehicle production and bring its innovative sports car to market. The company's electric sports car is set to join a growing market of high-performance electric vehicles, and with the guidance of its experienced advisory board, Longbow is poised to make a significant impact.
