Intella Partners with Visa to Revolutionize Arabic Conversational AI in MENA
Cairo-based Intella, a pioneer in Arabic speech intelligence and conversational AI, has joined forces with global payments giant Visa. The partnership aims to revolutionise conversational AI for financial institutions across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Founded in 2021 by Nour AlTaher and Omar Mansour, Intella specialises in developing AI models tailored to over 25 Arabic dialects. The company's suite of models includes a dialectal Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine and Ziila, an advanced conversational AI agent. Last month, Intella raised US$12.5 million in a Series A round to accelerate its mission and expand in the MENA region.
The partnership with Visa will enable Intella's technology, which provides complete visibility into customer interactions with unparalleled dialectal accuracy, to be integrated into Visa's network. This will begin with IntellaCX, a solution that turns unstructured call data into strategic assets. Visa Implementation Services will lead the delivery and implementation of these solutions across the region. The collaboration will also pave the way for the adoption of Ziila, Intella's advanced AI agent, to create next-generation, seamless customer experiences.
By combining Intella's Arabic speech intelligence and conversational AI with Visa's global reach, the partnership aims to empower financial institutions to deliver localised and innovative customer experiences at scale. Together, they are committed to expanding the capabilities of Arabic conversational AI and supporting the complexity and richness of the Middle East's linguistic landscape.
