Interconnected Audio Solutions by Calrec to be Showcased at IBC2025 Event
Calrec Audio, a leading manufacturer of innovative broadcast solutions, is set to demonstrate a series of usability, customization, and system enhancements for its Argo consoles at the IBC 2025 convention. These enhancements come with the new v1.4 Argo software, which focuses on improving user experience and workflow efficiency.
Simplified Operations with v1.4 Argo Software
The v1.4 Argo software update introduces a range of usability improvements designed to streamline operations across the Argo console range. One such improvement is the support for DAW control of MIDI on the Argo platform, providing greater flexibility for music and audio post-production.
Tailored Console Interfaces with Customisation Enhancements
Calrec is also introducing customisation enhancements that allow users to tailor the console’s interface and functions more flexibly. The new software update enables users to switch rows of physical controls to other strip modes, such as EQ, Dyn, or Pan. Additionally, Argo Q can now support two sets of custom wild panels per section, offering even more personalisation options.
Improved Performance and Integration with System Enhancements
The system enhancements in the v1.4 Argo software aim to increase overall performance, integration, and stability. These improvements include a more efficient routing strip functionality that allows users to see every fader’s routing simultaneously on the touch screen. The update also improves NMOS Control, status updates, and monitoring, as well as interfacing with Calrec Connect.
Live Demonstrations at IBC 2025
Visitors to IBC 2025, taking place at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center from September 12-15, will have the opportunity to see these enhancements in action. Calrec will be showcasing the new v1.4 Argo software and the enhanced True Control 2.0 workflow at Stand 8.C47.
True Control 2.0 delivers full feature-set control parameters including EQ, dynamics, routing, direct outputs, and delay. It also facilitates any combination of distributed production workflows and a deep level of remote control. A single controller can access up to five other consoles or processing cores at the same time with True Control 2.0.
A Compact and Portable IP Mixing Solution
Calrec will also be showcasing the Argo M platform, a compact and portable IP mixing solution designed for live broadcast production demands. Argo M is available in a 24- and 36-fader footprint and features full-sized fader strips with wild controls built for demanding productions in limited space.
A Live Ecosystem of Calrec Products
Visitors to Calrec's stand will also get a glimpse of a live ecosystem made up of multiple Argo consoles, the Type R mixing system, the ImPulse processing core, and the ImPulseV virtualized cloud audio mixing engine.
