Internet Restoration in Krasnoyarsk Delayed by "Orion Telecom"

Revamped Report:

Orion Telecom, the go-to internet service provider in 13 Siberian cities, is gradually restoring its network amid a third day of internet outage for some clients.

In case you've forgotten, Orion Telecom's TV, internet, video surveillance, and IP telephony services mysteriously halted for all clients across all regions late on June 11. Initial reports linked this downtime to a massive DDoS attack on Orion Telecom's infrastructure, followed by claims of a "massive cyberattack" on their internal network infrastructure[1].

However, we've got some good news today! According to official posts on their social media channels, Orion Telecom has completed the main elements of the network in Krasnoyarsk, with the city's internet service gradually coming back online. Specialists are still tweaking local zones, so coverage varies across different areas[2].

It's also confirmed that internet services are back up in Kansk, Železogorsk, and Zelenogorsk[3]. Orion Telecom cautions that occasional local glitches might pop up, but their technical team is busily squashing those issues.

If your internet is still out of order, they suggest checking the cable connection in your WAN port and trying a router reset (switch it off for 30 seconds and switch it back on). If that doesn't work, check out our handy router setup guide.

Orion Telecom has promised to reveal more details about compensation for the service interruption[4].

Stay tuned for updates, folks!
