New Expansion for inZOI Introduces Island Getaway

PUBG developer Krafton has announced the first DLC for its life simulation game inZOI, titled Island Getaway. This free expansion is scheduled to launch on August 20 and is set to enhance the gameplay experience, blending elements of The Sims 4's Island Living pack and Stardew Valley.

Island Getaway introduces a third island, the "deserted island," where players can engage in island-themed activities, colorful coral reefs, and minigames featuring dolphins and sea turtles. The main island, Cahaya, is a new city within Island Getaway, where players can have their Zois characters earn a living through crafting, farming, fishing, gathering, and mining.

Players can also relax on the resort island, directing their characters to participate in various activities. The resort island offers lucky draws, treasure hunts, and Turtlebot races as new events scheduled for different days of the week.

In addition to the traditional life sim mechanics, players can earn "Resort Coins" in minigames and trade them for special rewards in Island Getaway. Furthermore, players can harvest and gemstone cut on the main island, selling their creations and finds at the "Corner Store" for a profit.

Krafton is hoping to meet the expectations of farming and life sim fans with Island Getaway, aiming to provide a wholesome and engaging experience. For those who enjoy cozy games that blend farming, community-building, and life simulation, inZOI and Coral Island stand out as especially fitting options.

Other games similar to The Sims 4 and Stardew Valley include Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, which emphasizes farming along with business and mercantile mechanics, and smaller-scale games like Magic Inn, Whimside, Firefly Village, and Discounty, which feature farming and simple management systems with gameplay inspired by Stardew Valley's blend of farming and life simulation.
