Kia EV3 GT Spied: Sportier Version With Dual Motors, AWD
Kia's upcoming EV3 GT has been spotted testing with new wheels and green brake calipers. The prototype suggests a sportier version of the standard EV3, with enhanced performance and handling.
The EV3 GT will use a single, front-mounted electric motor generating 201 hp. An additional small electric motor at the rear will enable all-wheel drive traction. Despite the power boost, the EV3 GT's output is expected to remain under 300 hp, significantly lower than its EV6 GT sibling.
The GT prototype was recently seen at the Nurburgring, showcasing fresh hardware. While no major body changes have been confirmed, the GT is expected to feature a reshaped front end, a new grille, and reworked air intakes. The battery pack is likely to be the same 81.4 kWh unit from the standard EV3, but with a reduced range figure for the GT version.
Previous testing of the EV3 GT was conducted during winter earlier this year. The GT is aimed at adding more driving fun and excitement to the standard EV3 model, with improved performance and grip thanks to its dual-motor setup.
The Kia EV3 GT promises a sportier, more exciting driving experience. With a power output around 280 hp and all-wheel drive capability, the GT will offer enhanced performance without compromising the standard EV3's practicality. The EV3 GT is expected to hit the market with subtle design changes, maintaining its identity while adding a touch of sportiness.
