Wahoo's Kickr Rollr Gets a Power-Packed Update
Wahoo, a leading name in the world of indoor cycling, has announced an exciting update to its smart rollers, the Kickr Rollr. First released in 2022, the Kickr Rollr has been a popular choice among riders due to its simplicity and ease of use. Now, with the latest update, the rollers have been transformed into a more powerful, data-driven training tool.
The update introduces the Power Meter Connect feature, which allows users to pair the Kickr Rollr with Wahoo's Speedplay Power Pedals or other third-party power meters. This enhancement provides more accurate power data for virtual racing and training where precise output is crucial.
Moreover, the Kickr Rollr now comes with onboard power measurement, delivering consistent power readings that enable riders to better track workouts and monitor progress. This feature eliminates the need for a separate power meter, making the rollers a more approachable and engaging option for indoor cyclists, especially beginners.
The Kickr Rollr retains its dual-roller design, which allows natural rear wheel movement without removing the rear wheel, providing a realistic ride feel and easier setup—important for riders transitioning from outdoor to indoor training. Additionally, a front safety tire gripper has been added to stabilize the bike even during sprints, improving safety and ease of use.
With these improvements, the Kickr Rollr offers greater immersion, reliability in power measurement, and the ability to connect seamlessly with leading virtual cycling apps like Zwift, Wahoo SYSTM, Rouvy, and MyWhoosh.
