Google's Pixel 10 Series Unveiling Approaches with Exciting New Features
Google has teased the upcoming Pixel 10 series, providing a sneak peek at the Moonstone color for the devices. The official launch is set for August 20, where the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the highly anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold are expected to make their debut.
The Pixel 10 series will be powered by Google's Tensor G5 chipset, manufactured by TSMC. A notable difference from the previous series is the addition of telephoto cameras to all models, with macro capabilities included.
The base model, Pixel 10, will come in Obsidian (black/dark gray), Indigo (royal blue), Frost (slight blue on silver), and Limoncello (yellow-green). The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will offer a more premium color palette, including Obsidian, Porcelain (white replaced by Frost for a cooler tone), Moonstone, and Jade. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, while less detailed in leaks, is confirmed in Sterling Gray and Smoky Green, sharing some color options with the Pro models.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is expected to be a larger version of the Pixel 10 Pro, with a rumored 5,200 mAh battery, the largest ever in a Pixel smartphone.
Leaked renderings of the Pixel 10 series suggest that the vanilla Pixel 10 model will feature a third lens, a new addition to the series.
A promotion offering $50 off a device in the Pixel 10 series is expected to run from sometime after the series' debut in August until October 13, although the start date is currently unknown.
Google's "Made by Google" event is scheduled for August 20 at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET, where the Pixel 10 series, along with watches, buds, and more, will be unveiled.
The Pixel 10 series is expected to retain the design features of the 9 series, including a flat screen, flat sides, rounded corners, and a thick camera bar.
In the past, other phone deal providers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Samsung, Amazon, Verizon, and AT&T have offered deals for previous Pixel models. However, Google has not confirmed any specific deals or discounts for the Pixel 10 series at this time.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also rumored to have a 1TB storage option, but only for the Moonstone variant.
