Lyft, Uber, and Via Launch Subscription Plans for Frequent Riders

Ride-hailing giants Lyft and Uber, along with Via, have introduced subscription plans offering discounts and perks for frequent users. Let's explore these new options.

Lyft Pink, priced at $19.99 monthly, provides a 15% discount on all Lyft rides, including Shared and Lux. It also offers exclusive offers, waived lost and found fees, and free delivery and discounts with Grubhub and Seamless. Additionally, Lyft Pink members enjoy priority airport pickups and 3 free Lyft bike or scooter rides in select markets, up to 30 minutes. To break even, users should spend around $135 on Lyft rides monthly.

Uber's Ride Pass, costing $24.99 in New York City, offers price protection and up to 20% off each ride. It also includes free JUMP bike rides in Staten Island. Uber One, priced at $9.99, gives a 5% discount on top-rated Uber drivers, up to 10% off eligible Uber Eats orders, and free Uber Eats deliveries. American Express Platinum cardholders can use Uber Cash from their cards to pay for Uber One and receive up to $120 in statement credits.

Via ViaPass, priced differently per city, offers unlimited ride passes within the city of purchase, with a cap on ride cost for included rides and discounts on additional rides. However, it has limited service zones and only works in the city it was bought in.

These subscription plans cater to frequent users, offering discounts and perks to make ride-hailing more affordable. Prices vary by city and service, so users should check official platforms for up-to-date pricing. While these plans can save money for regular users, casual riders might not find them cost-effective.
