The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) has streamlined club management with the introduction of the RYA Affiliate Portal. This digital platform aims to keep affiliated organizations informed and connected while reducing irrelevant emails and ensuring a fresh contact list.
To get started, navigate to the RYA Portal at using your email and password. Once logged in, you can manage club members effectively.
To add a new member, click on the 'Add new member' button and complete the contact details. Remember, the date of birth field is only used to verify that the contact is over 18.
If you need to remove a member from a role, click on the three dots on the top right corner of their membership card and click on 'Remove from Club'. For updating contacts, simply click on 'Edit Profile' or a similar option within your account settings.

Sharing email addresses is not possible on the RYA Portal, but if you've been using generic email addresses for committee members, you can update names and contact details without changing the email.
The RYA Portal can hold a greater number of affiliate contacts, allowing for more targeted information. Updating contacts on the portal ensures there is one source of changes, saving time and reducing admin work.
If you've forgotten your password, click 'Forgot password' from the login page, and a password reset can be sent to the member, allowing them to create their own password for the account.
When updating roles, click on 'Club Role' and select the different roles your contact has within the club. It's important to ensure that each individual has their own unique email address for the RYA Portal.
