Management at Betsson announces the arrival of Svensson and Saliba, while Jabin and Glasfors are stepping down.

Betsson AB, a prominent company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm's Large Cap index, has unveiled significant changes in its group management team. The changes include the creation of two new roles: operational chief executive officer (CEO) and operational chief financial officer (CFO).

Pontus Lindwall, who has been with Betsson since 1998 and played a significant role in the company's growth, will continue as president and CEO. Lindwall, who was briefly dismissed in 2021 but was reinstated following strong opposition from shareholders and industry stakeholders, will now focus on the strategic direction of the company.

Jesper Svensson, who has over a decade of experience at Betsson, having joined the Malta branch in 2013, has been appointed as the operational CEO. Svensson, who has held pivotal roles at Betsson, including chief commercial officer in 2015 and CEO in 2017, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role.

Karl Saliba, a long-standing Betsson veteran with 17 years of tenure, has also been appointed to the group management team. Saliba, who began his career at Betsson as a financial controller in 2008 and advanced to chief financial officer of operations in 2012, will take on the role of operational CFO.

Martin Öhman, who has been with Betsson since 2019, overseeing financial operations and contributing to the company's strategic growth, will continue as the CFO.

Amandus Jabin, vice president of global tax, and Roland Glasfors, vice president of communications and investor relations, have exited the group management team but will continue to contribute to Betsson. Jabin, who has been with the company since 2012, and Glasfors, who joined in 2022, will remain valuable assets to the company.

Triin Toomemets-Krasnitski, who joined Betsson in 2018 and has risen through the ranks, becoming vice president of legal in 2018, has been appointed as the chief legal officer of Betsson AB. Toomemets-Krasnitski has also taken on a new role as the Chief People Officer at Betsson.

Betsson AB aims to grow faster than the market, organically and through acquisitions, while generating growth in a profitable and sustainable manner. The company has made strides in achieving this goal, having been granted a license in France in September 2023 and entering Belgium via a €120 million ($130.6 million) betFIRST acquisition in June of the same year. The changes in the management team are expected to further propel Betsson towards its growth objectives.
