Mediaservice Wasmuth Secures Key German Media Roles
Mediaservice Wasmuth has secured significant rights and responsibilities in the German media landscape. The company will operate key tools and portals, including ZIS, OBS, and ZMG-Zeitungsatlas, expanding its role in print and digital advertisement.
Starting January 2026, Mediaservice Wasmuth will take over the operation of ZMG-Zeitungsatlas, which offers detailed maps of regional daily newspapers' distribution areas. This integration is set to occur within its 'regio.planbasix' software in the medium term. The operation of ZMG itself will be discontinued.
The company has also secured usage and exploitation rights for the leading online booking portal OBS. This move aligns with Mediaservice Wasmuth's plans to expand OBS to include digital advertisement in the near future. OBS is the leading standard for online booking of ads in newspapers and magazines in Germany.
In addition, Mediaservice Wasmuth will prepare and supply market data for IVW and agma studies. The company will also operate ZIS, a leading tool for calculating print advertisement.
With these new responsibilities, Mediaservice Wasmuth strengthens its position in the German media market. The company will operate crucial tools for both print and digital advertisement, including OBS, ZIS, and ZMG-Zeitungsatlas. This expansion reflects the company's commitment to evolving with the changing landscape of media and advertisement.
