Microsoft Launches 365 Premium: Simplifying Copilot Pro Access for Families

Microsoft has introduced a new subscription tier for consumers, Microsoft 365 Premium. This change simplifies access to Copilot Pro, the AI assistant, and offers additional benefits. The move also sees the discontinuation of the separate Copilot Pro subscription and a redesign of Office app icons.

Previously, each family user needed an individual Copilot subscription. Now, Microsoft 365 Premium includes Copilot Pro, allowing all users of the Family subscription to use the AI assistant. This new subscription replaces the prior model, making access and costs more straightforward.

Microsoft 365 Premium offers licenses for up to 6 users and includes access to the 'Frontier' program. This provides subscribers with experimental AI features and new Office agents. The subscription costs 22 euros per month or 219 euros per year. Microsoft assures users that no new account creation is needed for the Premium subscription.

In addition to these changes, Microsoft is updating the design of the icons for the Office apps for the sixth time since the introduction of Office for Windows.
