Morphing Machines Raises Rs 38.36 Cr for Global Launch of REDEFINE Processor
Bengaluru-based Morphing Machines, a fabless semiconductor IP startup, has secured Rs 38.36 crore in a Series A funding round. The company will use the raised capital to accelerate its growth and bring its innovative processor, REDEFINE, to global markets.
REDEFINE, developed by Morphing Machines, is designed to excel in demanding compute environments like data centers and high-performance computing infrastructure. It aims to deliver ASIC-like performance with the flexibility of FPGAs, adapting to any workload from AI to analytics.
In the past year, Morphing Machines has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as Fraunhofer Institute and TU Darmstadt, along with industry partners, to deploy REDEFINE in data centers. Rajnish Kapur, Managing Partner of IAN Alpha Fund, praised REDEFINE's dynamic switching capabilities between CPU and GPU capacity cores, making it ideal for modern AI-driven applications.
The funding round was led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from Speciale Invest, IvyCap Ventures, and Navam Capital. Morphing Machines plans to use the funds to build and test its first chip, strengthen its product, expand its team, and start customer demos. The startup also aims to enter global markets such as the US and Europe within the next 12 to 24 months.
Backed by a decade of research and patents from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and government initiatives like DLI and C2S, Morphing Machines is poised to become a global leader in semiconductor accelerators while contributing to India's growing semiconductor ecosystem.
