Netopia Group appoints Marius Costin as its new Chief Executive Officer in Romania.
New CEO Appointed at Netopia Group
Effective March 14, Marius Costin becomes the CEO of Romania's digital payments services provider, Netopia Group. Simultaneously, Niculae Vasile assumes the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The announcement follows the news that Co-founder Felix Crisan relinquished both positions.
In his new role, Costin aims to fortify the company's presence in the digital payments market and develop innovative solutions to address the dynamic needs of consumers and merchants. Prior to this appointment, he served as the CEO of PayU Romania and the CEE CEO of Mokka.
Vasile, the newly appointed CTO, boasts over 25 years of technology experience. His responsibilities include overseeing the transition to innovative technologies and accelerating the development of adaptable solutions for a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
Diana Kallos, Delia Paceagiu, and Horia Grozea also form the top management team, serving as the CFO, COO, and Sales & Business Development Officer, respectively.
The supervisory board oversees the top management team and consists of Krzysztof Kulig, Anna Zientkiewicz, and Antonio Éram. In September 2023, Innova Capital acquired an 80% stake in the company.
Established in 2003, Netopia Group encompasses a network of enterprises, including Netopia Payments, mobility Wallet, web2sms, and Kartell. More than 25,000 e-commerce businesses rely on Netopia Group's services and solutions, which include mobile payments, online transactions through bank cards or SMS, SMS marketing, and mobile phone credit top-ups.
