Nissan ventures into culinary arts with the launch of a unique limited-edition Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife.

The automotive world and the culinary realm have come together in an unprecedented collaboration, resulting in the creation of the Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife. This unique piece is a fusion of Japanese knifemaking and Nissan's performance-driven design, symbolizing the blend of automotive engineering and culinary artistry.

The Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife is an homage to the Nissan Z car, embodying the precision and craftsmanship associated with high-performance vehicles. The knife is handmade in Japan by Nissan Design America, in partnership with renowned sushi master Chef Hiroyuki Terada and Japanese knifemaker Satoshi Kiryu.

Satoshi Kiryu, grandson of the founder of a Japanese knife-making family, designed the Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife with an image of the Z NISMO always in his head. The knife follows the kiritsuke style, a traditional blade shape for executive chefs, ensuring ultra-precise cuts that maintain the integrity of each ingredient.

The handle of the Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife is crafted from buffalo horn, featuring a red spacer as a nod to the NISMO edition's bodywork. The blade is laser-cut, tempered, and polished before receiving a kuro zome finish. Each knife is individually numbered, limited to 240 pieces, as a tribute to the original 240Z.

The Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife is priced at $300.23, a subtle nod to Nissan's racing heritage. The knife arrives in a custom black-lacquered box with the six generations of Z logos on the interior lid, making it not only a functional tool but also a statement piece celebrating the artistry and precision that Nissan applies in their vehicles.

Chef Hiroyuki Terada brings his sushi craftsmanship skills, while Satoshi Kiryu contributes culinary artistry, demonstrating the knife's sharpness, balance, and finesse in practical use. According to Terada, a chef's craft can be elevated to the highest level with this blade.

Nissan will make a contribution to the Japan-America Society of Tennessee in celebration of this cultural collaboration, further emphasizing the company's commitment to fostering relationships between the two nations. The Z NISMO Precision Sushi Knife is available exclusively through the NISMO Parts website. This rare example of a collaboration between the automotive and culinary worlds is a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared pursuit of excellence in both fields.
