Nordhorn Launches AI Quick-Check Service for SMEs
Nordhorn's city council has launched a new service, the AI Quick-Check, to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI). The initiative, handed over by the Mittelstand-Digital Center Lingen.Münster.Osnabrück, is now a permanent municipal service. Mayor Thomas Berling, Michael Schnaider, Alexander Bose, and Niels Schockemöhle marked its commencement.
The AI Quick-Check, offered free of charge, provides companies with practical insights into starting with AI. It involves a one-hour conversation analyzing a company's goals, data situation, technology knowledge, and existing competencies. Niels Schockemöhle, the digitalization coordinator, serves as the dedicated contact person, arranging individual appointments. Special action days with fixed appointments are scheduled for September 16 and October 7, 2025. Following the analysis, companies receive a compact result report, including a practical assessment and hints on free follow-up support offers. Registration is required for these action days, with appointments made via email or phone. More details about the service can be found on the city's website.
Nordhorn's AI Quick-Check service aims to empower local SMEs to explore AI's potential. By offering concrete impulses and guidance, the city hopes to foster digital growth and innovation among its business community.
