This is a black and white image. I can see groups of people walking. I can see few people standing. These are the dresses hanging to the hangers. I can see the shops. This looks like a bucket. These are the buildings with windows. This looks like a name board. I think this is the market. At the very right corner of the image, I can see the watermark.

NRF Bolsters Advocacy Team with Key Appointments

The National Retail Federation (NRF) has bolstered its advocacy teams with two key appointments. Mercy Beehler joins as Vice President of Government Relations, while Meghan Cruz has been promoted to Vice President, Advocacy and Engagement. These moves come as NRF strengthens its commitment to representing the retail industry's interests at all levels of government.

Beehler brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as Head of Policy Communications at Alibaba Group. There, she advocated for the company before various government bodies, honing her skills in navigating complex policy landscapes. Prior to Alibaba, Beehler worked at NRF itself, leading member outreach and initiatives focused on development and engagement. She will now report to Jason Straczewski, who has been promoted to Group Vice President of Government Relations and Political Affairs.

Cruz's promotion reflects NRF's commitment to enhancing its advocacy teams' efforts. She will work closely with Beehler and the expanded teams to support state retail association partners, retail business leaders, and policymakers across the U.S. The teams' enhanced capabilities will enable NRF to better advance the retail industry's agenda before governments at every level.

NRF's strategic hires and promotions underscore its dedication to empowering the retail industry. With Beehler's expertise in online retail and technology, and Cruz's enhanced role, the federation is well-positioned to champion the industry that powers the U.S. economy. Retail contributes $5.3 trillion to annual GDP and supports over 55 million jobs, making it the nation's largest private-sector employer. NRF continues to be a passionate advocate for the people, brands, policies, and ideas that help retail thrive.
